Fred A. Roberts is perhaps best known for his film The Peace Child, the dramatization of the book by Don Richardson. He did photography and produced films for a number of well known Evangelical organizations including Wycliffe Bible Translators, Sudan Interior Mission, Summer Institute of Linguistics, Inter-Varsity, the Salvation Army and World Vision. A small number of his photos are currently on display in the Exhibits section of the Archives and Special Collections website.
The Fred A. Roberts Collection was given to the Archives by his son Daryl in 2011. It includes photos which were digitized by Daryl, films, artifacts and business correspondence with many of the organizations he served. If you're looking for primary sources, this collection is available to you by making an appointment with the Archives.
